Dear Alumni,
The HBS India Research Centre, the HBS Alumni Angels Association India and the HBS Club of India are delighted to invite you for a second workshop cum conversation in our "Entrepreneurs Unplugged" series on April 3rd, 2017 titled "Beyond Fear" with advertising legend and maverick Prahlad Kakar.
Prahlad who founded the Prahlad Kakar School of Branding and Entrepreneurship in 2016, believes that very few MBA graduates are truly creative. People who take risks, he says, are the ones who have come to terms with the greatest fears of their lives — the fear of failing and the fear of fear itself. The workshop promises to be a platform through which Prahlad is going to try and put people in touch with some of their greatest fears, make them overcome them and own responsibility.
Entrepreneurship is a key area of study at HBS. Our research is focused on the identification and pursuit of entrepreneurial opportunities; domestic and international funding of entrepreneurial ventures; innovation, specifically technological innovation in international ventures; the eco systems in which entrepreneurs make decisions; and social entrepreneurship. The aim of this series is to set up a small intimate 15-20 person interaction over tea/coffee for HBS alumni with Founders of start-ups and entrepreneurs of large companies who have been able to scale and develop successful businesses across a spectrum of industries and also with academics and practitioners who have deep insights on the subject. We are hoping that these interactions enable us to hear best practices, perspectives and anecdotes of personal journey's through the process of building a business — challenges, failures, milestones and aha moments. We are confident that this will provide invaluable insights and a deep dive into the Eco-system of entrepreneurship in India and the DNA of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.
